Site Waste Management Plans (SWMP)

From April 2008 it became law for construction projects over £250,000.00 to have a SWMP, the aim to reduce the amount of waste routinely dumped in land fill and increase the level of materials recycled.

We can, on smaller projects, provide different types of skips for materials and colour coding for ease of segregation and reports to manage the process more efficiently.

A WEEE problem solved!

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment regulations became law in the UK on 2nd January 2007.

Items covered by the regulations include white goods and household appliances, power tools, lighting, computers and other IT equipment. The aim of the regulations is to reduce the amount of equipment shipped to landfill and increase re cycling rates.

WEEE regulations dictate that equipment is separated from other forms of waste and disposed of separately by a registered waste contractor. This process can be managed by Emineo developments, for more information contact the Environment Agency.
